The Russian army carried out strikes on Odessa, in southern Ukraine, on Wednesday March 6, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis were traveling.

A shot claimed by Moscow

The Russian Defense Ministry, which claimed responsibility for the missile launch, said on social media that the strike had hit a “hangar in a commercial port area of ​​Odessa in which naval drones were prepared for combat by the Ukrainian armed forces”.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited this port, essential for Ukrainian grain exports via the Black Sea. The Ukrainian president explained the efforts undertaken “to restore and strengthen the Ukrainian sea route”according to the Greek Prime Minister.
