An establishment for the disabled was hit on Friday March 11 by Russian strikes, near Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, without however causing any casualties according to an initial assessment of the emergency services.

“The enemy today struck a specialized institution for disabled people near Oskil”, wrote on Telegram the head of the regional administration, Oleh Sinegoubov. “This is a war crime against civilians, a genocide of the Ukrainian nation!”he lambasted.

He said 330 people – 10 of whom are in wheelchairs and 50 with reduced mobility – were at the scene at the time of the attack and 73 people were able to be evacuated, he added. This bombardment comes two days after airstrikes that hit a pediatric hospital and a maternity hospital in Mariupol.
