Russian strikes kill four, injure 23 in eastern Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin told Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that Ukraine must give up four eastern and southern regions, in addition to Crimea annexed in 2014, including Donetsk, if kyiv wants peace.

Russian shelling killed four people and wounded 23 others Friday in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, local authorities said. The region’s governor said a 32-year-old woman was killed and 20 others injured by Russian artillery fire in the town of Komar, where homes, shops and an administrative building were damaged.

He also said a rocket attack killed one person and injured one in the city of Ukrainsk. Two more people died and two were injured in the town of Selydove, which is near a section of the front line where Russian forces are advancing, the governor said.
