War in Ukraine: Russian strikes hit all four corners of the country
War in Ukraine: Russian strikes hit the four corners of the country – (FRANCEINFO)
Continuing Moscow’s show of force, the Russian army launched a series of strikes on Ukraine on Friday, December 29.
Across the four corners of Ukraine, the cities of kyiv, Kharkiv and Odessa were hit by Russian strikes on Friday December 29. In these large Ukrainian cities, the decor is similar: buildings blown up by explosions populate the avenues and streets. “This has never happened before since the start of the war, confides a woman awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of knocks. Everything was blown away by the wind, the windows and doors were broken, (…) there are only walls left.”
Around thirty dead
Surprised in the middle of the night by attacks by the Russian army, the inhabitants of kyiv took refuge in the metro. In Lviv, in the west of the country usually less affected by strikes, the mayor, Andrii Sadvyi, reports “lots of destruction“. More than a hundred missiles were launched from Moscow (Russia) and caused at least thirty deaths, according to a latest report.
