(France 2)
In Ukraine, the city of Chernihiv, located about 150 kilometers north of kyiv, was targeted on Wednesday by three Russian missiles, which caused the death of at least ten people and left others injured.
A first missile has just fallen, then a second. The strike that occurred on Wednesday April 17 in Ukraine, in the Chernihiv region, terrorized civilians, who tried to flee. Same scene inside a building. “The enemy launched three missiles at the city center. There are civilian deaths and injuries”explains Vyacheslav Tchous, head of the regional administration.
Ukraine lacks resources
At least 17 people were killed and more than 60 injured during this triple Russian strike on Chernihiv, a large city in northern Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky protested on social networks. “This would not have happened if Ukraine had received enough air defense equipment and if the world’s determination to resist Russian terror had been sufficient”, he scolded on X. Ukraine indeed lacks the means to intercept the missiles. It urges its Western partners to deliver more and urgently. Meanwhile, emergency services are looking for survivors.
