Volodymyr Zelenksy denounces lack of Western support
On Telegram, the Ukrainian president declared that this triple strike “would not have happened if Ukraine had received enough air defense equipment”. While further military aid from the United States is still blocked in the American Congress, the Ukrainian leader is calling for increased support from Ukraine’s partners to help it defend itself.
Attacked in the first days of the Russian invasion, the city of Chernihiv was the scene of a battle which saw the withdrawal of troops from Moscow. Since then, this city in the northeast of the country located near the border with Russia has been frequently bombed.
