“Do not worry about me.” Imprisoned Russian opponent Alexeï Navalny, whose relatives remained without news for several weeks, published a reassuring message on Tuesday, December 26, on social networks. “I’m doing well”, he declared on X (formerly Twitter), after his transfer to a penal colony in the Russian Arctic.

“I’m relieved to have finally arrived”he added, specifying that the journey to his new place of detention, which lasted 20 days, had been “quite tiring”. The day before, the lawyer of the opponent of Vladimir Putin, Kira Larmych, had declared on a locality of around 5,000 inhabitants, located in Yamalo-Nenetsia, a remote region in northern Russia.
