Vovchansk came under fire from the Russian army on Monday May 13. For several days, Ukrainian volunteers and soldiers have evacuated nearly 1,500 people in a few days.
Vovtchansk (Ukraine), 10 kilometers from the Russian border, has been the scene of a deluge of fire for several days. Ukrainian soldiers take care of the injured and residents who have lost everything. One of them is still disoriented: his building has just been hit by a missile. Another woman is waiting for help. “I can’t hear anything anymore. I was lying on my couch when everything fell on me”, she explains, sobbing. She is finally taken care of by volunteers.
1,500 people evacuated
From Friday May 10 to Monday May 13, nearly 1,500 people were evacuated from the locality. The northern border is in fact under Russian artillery fire almost 24 hours a day. Four new localities have been claimed by Moscow (Russia). In response, kyiv (Ukraine) attacks Russia on its territory. On Sunday May 12, 15 people died in the collapse of a building in Belgorod (Russia), hit by a Ukrainian missile.
