Russia continues its deadly attacks. Bombings in the Kharkiv region (north) and on a “residential sector” in Kryvyi Rih (center) left at least three dead and 16 injured in total, on the night of Friday 20 to Saturday 21 September, according to a statement from the Ukrainian Interior Ministry on Telegram.
The bombing of Kryvyi Rih left three dead, including a 12-year-old child, and three injured. “to varying degrees”the ministry explains. “All fires have been extinguished”the statement said. In Kharkiv, 13 people were injured, “including three minors”during a Russian strike on a civilian company and homes. The fires were also brought under control, and “Investigation teams are working on the scene”according to the ministry.
Volodymyr Zelensky has regularly demanded that his Western allies provide him with new air defense systems to counter Russian attacks, as well as the ability to use long-range weapons supplied by his allies to strike deep into military targets in Russia. The European Union announced on Friday that it had agreed to provide kyiv with a €35 billion loan, financed by profits from frozen Russian assets in Europe.
