Russian missile attack kills three in Odessa

A Russian missile attack killed at least three people in Odessa, southwestern Ukraine, local authorities reported early Wednesday.

“The enemy attacked Odessa with ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, three people were killed and three others injured,” Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov said on the Telegram social network.

“All necessary medical aid is being provided to the injured,” Odessa region governor Oleg Kiper said on Telegram.

“There is damage to civilian infrastructure,” he added, without providing further information.

Another missile attack carried out by Moscow on Monday in Odessa killed five people, according to local officials.

Odessa, a Black Sea port vital to Ukrainian exports, is regularly targeted by deadly missile and drone attacks.

Russia has been relentlessly striking Ukrainian cities for months and advancing on Ukraine’s eastern front ahead of the arrival of crucial U.S. weapons for kyiv.
