Russian missile attack kills one in Mykolaiv and injures six in kyiv

The Ukrainian capital is also partially deprived of electricity after these bombings.

Loud explosions were heard. Russian missile attacks in Ukraine killed a man in Mykolaiv (South) on Wednesday February 7 and injured at least six people in kyiv, report the mayors of these two cities. According to Mykolaiv councilor Oleksandr Sienkevich, the man who died died of serious injuries after the attack which tore the roofs off 20 houses and damaged gas and water pipes in the port city.

The mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, for his part announced that six people had been injured in the capital. Fires were raging in an 18-story residential building in the south of the city, where three people were hospitalized, he said.

Three other people were injured in the district on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River where two high-voltage lines were damaged, he added. This neighborhood was partially deprived of electricity and work was to begin once the alert passed, the operator said.
