Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov will sign with Paris Saint-Germain for a period of five years, the Sports Department of Radio France learned on Wednesday May 29 from a source close to the matter, confirming information from RMC .
The FK Krasnodar goalkeeper, who has 13 caps for Russia, underwent his medical examination in Paris. The 25-year-old footballer must succeed Keylor Navas to become Gianluigi Donnaruma’s understudy next season. Matvey Safonov had been followed for a long time by the sports management of the Parisian club.
This transfer will only be formalized after July 1, the opening date of the summer transfer window in France.
