The Rostov region (southern Russia) is an important center for planning Russian operations against Ukraine. Its governor, Vasily Golubev, said on social media that one of the attacks had hit the town of Taganrog, on the Sea of Azov, near a region of Ukraine occupied by Russia. He reported an injured rescuer, but assured that there was no “no death”. The governor of the Russian region of Kursk, Roman Starovoyt, further north and also bordering Ukraine, declared for his part that a clinic had been damaged by an attack.
This official released a video showing him outside “polyclinic number 6 in Kursk”with the top of the establishment visibly damaged. “Luckily everyone is alive”, he assured, adding that doctors had evacuated the patients to a nearby hospital. Kursk, which has some 440,000 inhabitants, is located about 120 km from the Ukrainian border.
