Russia announces shooting down 75 Ukrainian drones over its territory

Dozens of Ukrainian missiles intercepted by the Russian army, Moscow announced that it had shot down a total of them 75 Ukrainian drones on the night from Sunday to Monday, a large number of them in the Rostov region alone. “Anti-aircraft defenses intercepted and destroyed 47 drones over the Rostov region”bordering Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Telegram on Monday, July 22. This attack led to a fire in a refinery, according to local authorities.

The flames broke out at an oil refinery in Tuapse, a city on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar region, due to “the drone debris fall”regional authorities said on Telegram. “The kyiv regime has again tried to attack civilian infrastructure in Tuapse with drones”denounced this source quoted by AFP, specifying that nearly a hundred rescuers had been deployed to extinguish the flames.

Russia announces almost daily that it has destroyed Ukrainian drones launched against its territory. Ukraine says it is carrying out these strikes in response to the Russian bombings that have been causing mourning in Ukraine for more than two years and that it is primarily targeting military and industrial targets.
