Vaccination centers are gradually reopening their doors to inject booster doses to people over 18 years of age. But it is still complicated to find available niches.
Boost in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. With the opening of the booster dose of over the age of 18, two million people received their third injection in one week. Problem : in some cities, the available slots are missing. TO Nice, Marseille or Montpellier, the vaccinodromes have resumed service and have been welcoming the public again since Wednesday, December 1.
More than 4 million appointments have been made since Thursday, creating a traffic jam effect: on the site of Doctolib, no available slots appear until February, and even pharmacies are overwhelmed. Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, wanted to reassure the elderly: “We have reactivated the telephone number for the elderly which allows them to have a phone call to access the booster vaccine”. Seven months after the last injection, the health pass for French people who have not taken their booster dose will be deactivated.
