“ruined” because of the new laws, Julia Paredes confides in Jeremstar and ends in tears

Large number of subscribers, ease of revealing one’s daily life and considerable impact on Internet users…. that’s why for years, reality TV candidates have turned into “influencers” and especially into mobile digital advertising on social networks. In recent years, many brands have indeed bet on the famous paid product placements on Instagram or Snapchat, to the point of greatly enriching the best-known candidates.

But that was without taking into account the rapper Booba who, for the past year, has embarked on a merciless war on “influencers” by pointing out the excesses of these product placements. Scams, poor quality products, companies based abroad, exorbitant prices… this list of negative points then led the government to take measures and on June 9, 2023, a law aimed at regulating commercial influence and combating abuses of influencers on social networks has been promulgated. This legislation requires influencers to provide many details on advertisements, to avoid alterations but also prohibits the promotion of certain practices or certain products.

Enough to impact the product placement industry since some brands then decided to no longer work with reality TV candidates or lowered their remuneration…

Julia Parades: ruined, she confides in Jeremstar
What Julia Paredes has just explained to blogger Jeremstar during a new interview. “There were months when I was earning €35,000. 35 to €40,000, and after the controversies, we are at €5,000” said the former reality TV candidate seen in “Les Anges” or more recently in “Mamans & Célèbres”.

“Oh fuck, but Booba you ruined them!” then reacted Jeremstar. And Julia Paredes responds: “He killed our business! He did the natural cleaning! So in the end, some leave Dubai because you have to take on the lifestyle here…”. Julia Paredes is not the only one impacted by these new legislations since many reality TV candidates have chosen to resume the filming of the show to deal with this crisis.
