Rugby: the VRDR moves to Albi, follow the 9th day of National

Another effort for rugby player of the VRDR before a few days of vacation. The Damiers play in Albi on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. and the National championship will then take a break for two weeks. For this trip to the Tarn, several changes have been made in the starting XV. These rotations are expected because organizations are strained since October 8th. The last matches were particularly tough, the Damiers had to make a lot of effort, in particular against Nice
and opposite Bourgoin.
To keep their invincibility this weekend, it is still heavy that awaits the Drôme confirms the manager of Valence-Romans Johann Authié. “We can see that Albi ends its games well, over time it is a solid team.”

Albi is 5th, undefeated at home. Fallout of Narbonne, Bourgoin and Dax last Saturday (37-22), the Tarn club is waiting firmly for the VRDR. Leader of the classification with already seven points ahead of their runners-up. The Checkers move without real pressure explains the third row Sven Girlando. “We work well and that reassures us, the training and the weeks we do allow us to leave with a little less pressure.”

Before starting a third block of the championship on November 18, which will see the Damiers receive four out of five times, the Drôme team will try against Albi to make an impression once again. A faultless course at the end of this 9th day of the championship would be a real achievement in a championship more homogeneous and denser than ever.

Listen to Albi-VRDR, Saturday November 5 from 6:30 p.m.
