Eight major nations of the African continent will compete in the South of France, in the form of a knockout tournament. The team that wins the Rugby Africa Cup 2022 will qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2023 as “Africa 1”

The winning team of the Rugby Africa Cup 2022 will join Pool A of the Rugby World Cup 2023, where they will find France (host country of the competition), New Zealand, Italy and Uruguay. She will return to Marseille on September 21, 2023, to challenge the Blues who will play at home.
The finalist team of the Rugby Africa Cup 2022 will play the Final Qualification Tournament, the last chance to qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2023, which will take place in November 2022.

- Session 1: The two quarter-finals of Marseille, Namibia-Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe-Côte d’Ivoire (July 1)
- Session 2: The two quarter-finals of Aix en Provence, Senegal-Algeria and Uganda-Kenya (July 2)
- Session 3: The Marseille semi-final + Classification match (July 6)
- Session 4: The Aix en Provence semi-final + Classification Match (July 6)
- Session 5: The final of the Rugby Africa Cup 2022 in Aix en Provence + Match for 3rd place (July 10)

Maurice David Stadium (Aix en Provence)
Flagship venue of Aix en Provence, regularly selected for the Six Nations U20 Tournament, it is the lair of the Provence Rugby club, which officiates in the PRO D2 championship.
Pierre Delort Stadium (Marseille)
Located near the Stade Vélodrome, host of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, it regularly hosts rugby matches, American football and athletics events. It was also the scene of the Final Qualification Tournament for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
