Ru continues to attract audiences in theaters

The film directed by Charles Olivier-Michaud, Ruadapted from the novel by Kim Thuy, remains in the top 10 films that generated the most revenue during the week of December 29 to January 4, according to the latest figures compiled by Cinéac.


With cumulative revenues of 1.5 million, Ru therefore remains in sixth position in the top 10 films that generated the most revenue at the Quebec box office, six weeks after its theatrical release.

The other Quebec film that managed to find its way into the top 10 of the box office during this second week of the Holidays, Fir$by Stéphane Moukarzel, is in 7e position with receipts of $142,935 in its second week in theaters, for a total of just over $314,000.

Unsurprisingly, it’s the movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomdistributed by Warner, which came in first, with admissions of more than $903,000 for a cumulative box office of 1.9 million in just its second week in theaters.

Wonkawhich stars Timothée Chalamet as the chocolatier of the same name, came in second with revenues of $801,853 for the week, totaling 2.4 million admissions in its 3e week in the gym.
