Royal Canadian Mint | The new coin bearing the image of King Charles III revealed

(Winnipeg) The Royal Canadian Mint on Tuesday unveiled the image of King Charles which will soon appear on all new coins.

This is a profile of the left side of the king’s face, who is wearing a shirt, tie and no crown.

The announcement of the design comes on the occasion of the 75e birthday of the king.

His face on the coins replaces the image of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The work of Canadian portraitist Steven Rosati was chosen from submissions from 350 artists.

It was sent to Buckingham Palace for approval.
