(Roxton Pond) An accident involving a van occurred this afternoon in Roxton Pound, in Estrie, in which a young child was seriously injured.
It was around 4:15 p.m. that emergency services were called to intervene on Chemin Jacques, in Roxton Pond, for a collision, indicates the Sûreté du Québec.
According to initial information collected by the police, the van hit the child while driving at low speed on a private road.
The child, aged less than 5 years old, was evacuated to a hospital for serious injuries and his life is feared.
