Roxham or the absolute impotence of Quebec

Let’s say things as clearly as possible.

Many Quebecers dream of combining the advantages of belonging to Canada with the advantages of being a sovereign country.

It’s the mythical 3e path, as indestructible in theory as it is impossible in fact.

Because the reality, the real reality, the harsh reality is best illustrated by what happens every day on Roxham Road.

Strainer

In 2020 and 2021, the closing of borders caused by the pandemic had given us a break.

It’s gone again now, and it’s worse than ever.

Between January and August of this year, the RCMP intercepted 23,358 people who entered illegally through this route.

This is more than twice the number entered during the same eight-month period in 2019.

Ottawa estimates that nearly 50,000 people will have entered illegally through this route throughout 2022.

That’s about 150 people a day, with peaks of 300 on weekend days.

Those 50,000 will be three times the record figure of 18,836 set in 2017.

Obviously, the federal propaganda and its media outlets describe their situation as “irregular” and not illegal.

Now, are you seated?

99.3% of all illegal entries into Canada are through Quebec.

99.3%!!!

Once here, these asylum seekers are temporarily accommodated in hotels.

The federal government picks up the bill. At the end of the day, who do you think pays?

Many receive psychosocial and health services provided by the Government of Quebec.

Who do you think pays?

These people wait on average a year before a first interview where we will begin to examine their particular case so that they can obtain the asylum seeker document.

Obviously, as long as they don’t have this document, they cannot work since they must have this paper to obtain a work permit.

So they’re on welfare.

Again, who do you think pays?

In total, it takes on average between two and three years between their entry and a final decision on whether or not to grant refugee status.

After temporary accommodation, they must also find accommodation.

The Legault government is asking Ottawa to close Roxham Road.

Justin Trudeau does not want to know anything.

And that’s not counting the immigrants who entered legally, about whom François Legault had asked Ottawa for additional powers.

But Justin Trudeau also said no.

François Legault had also mentioned a possible referendum on the subject.

But it was during the election campaign.

In short, Canada does not care about Quebec, and Quebec is totally powerless.

Why is Quebec powerless?

Because he has no power relationship.

Why is there no power relationship?

Because he says in advance not to take his yelps too seriously, and he’ll never bite.

If there is another conclusion, I want to know it.
