An accident on Route 147 near Compton in the Eastern Townships left three seriously injured on Tuesday morning, possibly due to road conditions.
The three people were in two small vehicles, and the maneuvers to extricate them took several minutes.
They were transported to a local hospital.

Accident scene investigators were still on site around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning to understand the circumstances of the head-on collision.
Monday evening’s rain, combined with overnight cooling, wind and snow squalls may have favored the formation of black ice on the roadway.
