(Calgary) Trevor Harris rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Kian Schaffer-Baker to lead the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 37-29 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Friday night.
Backup quarterback Shea Pattersson added two rushing touchdowns for the Roughriders (6-7-1), who snapped a gruesome seven-game winless streak.
Brett Lauther had three field goals for the Riders while new running back Ryquell Armstead had a big debut with 207 yards on 25 carries.
Clark Barnes and Jalen Philpot caught touchdown passes from quarterback Jake Maier for the Stampeders (4-9-1), who are 0-5-1 in their last six meetings.
Tommy Stevens and Dedrick Mills scored majors for the Stampeders and Rene Paredes had a field goal.
The Roughriders, who are third in the West, will face the Ottawa Redblacks (8-4-1) on September 28.
For their part, the Stampeders, who are in fifth and last place in the West, will face the British Columbia Lions (7-7-0) on October 4.
