Glen Constantin’s men overcame a 17-point deficit and overcame a disastrous start to win the Mitchell Cup at London’s Alumni Stadium.
Down 17-4 in the third quarter, David Dallaire scored two touchdowns on one- and two-yard runs to put his team back in the game. Kicker Vincent Blanchard had four field goals to add 12 points to the scoreboard. Carrier Kalenga Muganda had a stellar game, amassing 173 yards on 24 carries.
Defensive back Hugo Larue won on special teams by blocking two field goals in the first half.
At the Vanier Cup, the Rouge et Or will meet the Saskatchewan Huskies, who defeated the St. FX X-Men. 36 to 19 at the Uteck Cup earlier in the day.
