“Rotting, garbage cans…”, Julian Bugier goes straight to the point against Emmanuel Macron!

No experience, of course, but its first can be welcomed. Indeed, for Julian Bugier, it was a great first. This Wednesday, March 22, the presenter of the JT of France 2 questioned, for the first time in his career, Emmanuel Macron, to discuss the social storm linked to the pension reform. And the journalist did not hesitate to contradict the Head of State and “put him in danger”. This from his first intervention.

“First of all, I would like to come back to comments you made, which may have shocked some. It was yesterday in front of parliamentarians. You said ‘the crowd has no legitimacy in the face of the people who express themselves through the elected officials. Does that mean, in your eyes, that the discontent that is expressed in the streets, today the demonstrators, are they legitimate?, launched Julian Bugier. After having clarified his misinterpreted remarks, Emmanuel Macron nevertheless insisted on a specific point: “When groups use extreme violence. When they use violence, without rules, because they are not happy with something. When they use violence to attack elected officials… then that is no longer the Republic…”.

Julian Bugier offensive against Emmanuel Macron

A statement immediately cut by Julian Bugier: “…Agree all the same Mr. President that these are not words that are able to appease”. “Sorry, these are words that clarify”, then defended the Head of State. After having mentioned the need to implement this reform, Emmanuel Macron had to face another question from the journalist of France 2. “Today, with what is happening in the street, do you fear a conflagration of mobilizations? A deterioration of the situation? What do you answer today to the French who are worried about this situation? and who suffers from it? The garbage piling up, the service stations with considerable queues…”he reminded the President of the Republic.

“I tell you there are different forms of protest. That there are demonstrations organized to say “we are against”, it is legitimate and I also salute the spirit of responsibility of all the unions. “, rejoiced Emmanuel Macron in answering the question of the journalist. The Head of State recalling in passing that this (the demonstrations: editor’s note) “was done in a calm and organized way. They (the demonstrators: editor’s note) will do it again tomorrow, it’s normal”. On the other hand, he obviously condemns the violence. With regard to blockages, the President of the Republic explained that they must be able to be “raised when they prevent normal activity”. This is why he has “asked the government to try to negotiate and then to requisition”.
