Olympique de Marseille continues to reshape its sports sector. The 58-year-old Transalpine will not officially be sports director, but rather an advisor, in charge of acting as a link between management and Robert De Zerbi. The two men know each other very well since Rossi was De Zerbi’s sporting director in Italy, at Sassuolo (between 2018 and 2021).
De Zerbi had mentioned his name from the first discussions with OM. Olympian President Pablo Longoria wants to put the new coach in the best possible position for the launch of this sporting project. Roberto De Zerbi has indeed signed for three seasons in Marseille.
