A man in his twenties was the victim of an attempted murder Thursday afternoon in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
Police were called to the scene after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting gunshots in the 19e avenue, not far from Rosemont Boulevard.
They then located the man, injured in an arm, who was taken to hospital while he was conscious.
A perimeter has been erected in the area and investigators are heading to try to establish the circumstances that led to this event.
While on her way to the scene, a police officer driving a patrol car was injured when she collided with a citizen’s car.
