Roselyne Bachelot atomizes King Charles III and his wife Camilla live on BFMTV

The one who has long been called “Prince Charles” is now King of England. This Saturday, May 6, 2023, Charles III was crowned in the grounds of Westminster Abbey in London, almost seventy years to the day after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who had meanwhile acceded to the throne in June 1953. Major difference between the two: Elizabeth II became queen at the age of 24 while Charles is 74 years old on the clock.

The ceremony which was broadcast in hundreds of countries around the world was followed by millions of viewers with a peak of 14 million in the United Kingdom and 9 million in France at the precise moment of the coronation.

In the aftermath of the festivities which lasted all weekend and which were marked by an event concert during which Lionel Richie and Katy Perry went on stage, the images of the ceremony continue to go around the world in order to be analyzed.

Roselyne Bachelot tackles Charles and Camilla live on television
This Monday, May 8, 2023, Roselyne Bachelot was invited on the set of the BFMTV channel to give her opinion on the subject. The former minister who is known for her outspokenness did not hesitate to tackle King Charles: “Frankly, his dismayed look, his carnival clothes and fortunately his ears which allowed the crown to hold inappropriately”, “Admit all the same that he looks a bit… that he looks impossible!” she said amusedly.

Obviously not a big fan of the couple he forms with his wife Camilla who also became queen, Roselyne Bachelot then launched: “Usually it’s the cuckolds who are on the balcony, there we have two acorns!” seeing them pose on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Roselyne Bachelot is not the only one to have criticized the coronation since Jean-Luc Mélenchon also deplored the fact that the monarchy is still celebrated in 2023: “While dripping on television the disgusting syrups of the monarchy […] so many people live in poverty. This cinema with this man covered in disguise, jewels and precious stones, has something sickening”. Without forgetting Stéphane Bern who recalled that Camilla Parker Bowles is “a country girl”.
