The famous bassist Ron Carter will be in Montreal in September at the invitation of the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal.
The 86-year-old musician, who has played alongside Thelonious Monk, Mulgrew Miller, Miles Davis, Coleman Hawkins, Wes Montgomery and Horace Silver, will take part in a special concert with the UdeM Alumni Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Honorary Professor Ron Di Lauro.
Remember that the double bassist had to cancel his visit to Montreal, at the Claude-Champagne room at UdeM, in the fall of 2022.
The show is scheduled for September 7 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve in Place des Arts. Tickets are on sale on the Place des Arts website from 1er June, at 10 a.m.
