Roland Garros | Nadal, Djokovic and Alcaraz continue their journey

(Paris) Rafael Nadal earned a 300and win in a major tournament on Wednesday in Paris, reaching the third round of Roland-Garros by beating Frenchman Corentin Moutet 6-3, 6-1 and 6-4.

Nadal is preceded in this chapter only by Roger Federer (369) and Novak Djokovic (325).

Seeded fifth, Nadal outshot 7-2 for breaks and 27-6 for winners.

His next rival will be Botic Van De Zandschulp, 26and Headlining.

Favorite Djokovic defeated Slovak Alex Molcan 6-2, 6-3 and 7-6 (4).

The 35-year-old Serb is looking for a third title in Paris. If he triumphed, he would join Nadal with 21 consecrations in major tournaments.

Djokovic will face Slovenian Aljaz Bedene in the third round.

Rising star Carlos Alcaraz needed five rounds to defeat fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinola. The score was 6-1, 6-7 (9), 5-7, 7-6 (2) and 6-4.

ATP leader with four titles in 2022, Alcaraz saved a match point in the fourth set.

Sixth-seeded Alcaraz will next face Sebastian Korda of the United States.
