If the Laval Rocket is now in a position to make the playoffs, it is largely due to the exceptional performance of Emil Heineman since his arrival with the school club of the Montreal Canadiens. The team banked valuable points by beating the Admirals 6-4 on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Heineman scored a goal and added two assists to bring his tally to six goals and eight points in just six games. The Swede must have already caught the attention of Martin St-Louis at the big club.
Beyond individual performances, the Rocket won a fourth straight game and now have 68 points in the standings, three more than their North Division pursuers, the Cleveland Monsters and Belleville Senators.
Pierrick Dubé imitated Heineman with three points, including two very important goals in the third period. Down 3-2 at the start of the engagement, Laval went into overdrive with four goals. Defender William Trudeau also played an excellent game, feeding Dubé perfectly on the winning goal.
Gabriel Bourque, Anthony Richard and Olivier Galipeau were the other scorers for Jean-François Houle’s men.
In a difficult game, Cayden Primeau finally got the better of his vis-à-vis Devin Cooley with 23 saves on 27 shots. The Admirals doorman was busier with 30 parries on 35 shots.
In a game whose result will be essential for the playoff race, the Rocket will host the Monsters on Friday at Place Bell.
