The Laval Rocket have announced that they have awarded forward Riley Kidney an amateur tryout contract.

Kidney, 19, was a second-round pick by the Canadiens, the 63and in total, in the 2021 draft. Last season, he collected 100 points in 66 games with Acadie-Bathurst, in the QMJHL.
The Rocket have also announced that another striker, Emil Heineman, will return to Sweden to continue his period of fitness.
The Canadian school club will begin its next series Sunday evening at Place Bell, against the Americans of Rochester. The Rocket eliminated the Syracuse Crunch in five games in the previous round.
