The Laval Rocket announced on Wednesday that forward Lukas Vejdemo had successfully undergone surgery for a hamstring injury.

The 26-year-old Swede will need a seven-month recovery period. He was injured on April 16 in a game against the Cleveland Monsters.
The Montreal Canadiens’ third-round pick (87th overall) in the 2015 draft has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 34 games with the Rocket this season. He also played six games with the Habs and hit the target once in the National League in 2021-2022.
According to the specialized website capfriendly.com, Vejdemo could benefit from its complete autonomy next July.
