Once upon a time…Narita, where the story of 5 enraged guys, 4 angry voices, and 2 fiery guitars, with only one idea in mind: to have fun with the public on electric compositions and body built covers.
Since the beginning Narita has been playing energetic rock, mixing rock covers from the 70s/80s/90s and compositions. But above all, it’s a great group of friends who decided to have fun, to play for and with the public without worrying. Committed or even philosophical themes do exist, but in a 2nd degree way and much more.
Renaud the writer of the group, not the lyricist, likes to recall the complex notes of red fruits and spices combined with a frank attack, coupled with an incomparable woody touch which shines through in the sounds of Narita! That is to say ! The choruses are heady and give off a powerful nose (just look at Scally’s!!) he says too!
Everything is full-bodied, full-bodied and energetic, but it remains fresh and above all Rock. Very Rock! You can listen to it by shaking your head, from front to back or from left to right, it’s up to you. And it does crazy good. Moreover, for those who know the itinerary of a certain Bon Scott, in his early days, he was in exactly the same state of mind before becoming the leader of AC/DC. And yes !
Creative process:
Narita’s songs are composed by Fred and Scally. The process is exceptionally simple, but incredibly effective. On frenzied drum loops, Fred records a few chords in his living room, and on his PC. It organizes the structure of the song. Then sends the result to Scally, not without putting an evocative title according to the inspiration of the moment. Scally then takes care of laying down a good bass line, writing and recording lyrics related to the proposed title. All you need to do is mix and you’re done. With 250 Narita compositions, don’t pretend!
They are listened to by the other members of the group and those which are unanimous are integrated into the repertoire. And the public asks for more as long as we serve them Rock beer and pie, the last title of Narita on our show tonight…
