The British are on vacation and many of them have chosen France for their holidays, but they have to wait hours to be able to cross the English Channel. We were supposed to take our ferry at 9:15 and it’s noon now. It’s just a nightmare”says a woman. “We are traveling with three children. We’re really fed up. It really looks like a situation of the Third World”, considers another.
The British port accuses the French authorities of ruining the holidays of many families for these first post-Covid departures. According to the British, with Brexit, there would not have been enough French customs officers to check passports. The French authorities assure that the manpower was sufficient and certify thatan incident technically unpredictable”.
