Road rage in Quebec: he drives with a man on the hood of his vehicle

A 22-year-old driver from Quebec obviously had a short fuse, Sunday morning, after driving on Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard with a man on the hood of his vehicle.

The situation would have started on the Henri-IV highway, around 11:20 a.m., before continuing at the Wilfrid-Hamel exit.

The incident is said to be a case of road rage, according to a press release from the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ).

“The SPVQ police officers received several calls concerning a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Wilfrid-Hamel with a man on its hood,” said the SPVQ.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was located on the ground near 6023 Wilfrid-Hamel with minor injuries.

A few minutes later, the police were called to the scene of an accident near 6380 Wilfrid-Hamel.

“With the information gathered, the police were able to link a vehicle and a driver involved in the accident, a 22-year-old man, to the call concerning the man on the hood,” explained the SPVQ.

The 22-year-old man was arrested among other charges for dangerous driving, before being released on summons. An investigation is underway to validate the exact chronology of events.
