Road obstructions will once again be very numerous this weekend in Greater Montreal, particularly in the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, but also in the Saint-Pierre, Dorval and Turcot interchanges as well as on several other highways.
First, as previously reported, the Saint-Pierre interchange ramp leading from the Honoré-Mercier bridge to Highway 20 West — in other words, to the airport — will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. This ramp has been closed several times over the past few weeks.
A lane of Highway 20 West will also be cut from Friday 11:30 p.m. to Saturday 7 a.m., between exit 63 towards the Mercier bridge and the next entrance.
On the municipal network, Souligny Avenue will also be closed in both directions, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets, from Friday 10:30 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
In the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, Highway 25 southbound will be completely closed between exit 6 and the entrance from Île Charron from Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m. During the nights of July 14 to 18, the tunnel will also be closed towards Montreal for inspection work.
Further west, the Turcot interchange is not left out either. All infrastructure ramps leading from Autoroute 15-north and Autoroute 20-east to the Décarie axis will be closed overnight from Sunday to Monday.
An intensive phase of work will also continue this weekend in the Dorval interchange. Eastbound, Highway 20 will therefore be completely inaccessible from Sunday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., between exit 56 and the entrance from Bouchard Boulevard. A detour will be organized via Herron Road.
Westbound, this same highway will then be closed from Monday 11 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m., between exit 56 and the entrance from Montreal-Toronto Boulevard. Several diversions will be available via boulevards Roméo-Vachon Nord and Albert-de-Niverville, as well as avenue Cardinal and boulevard McMillan.
Zoom to the North
On the north crown, in Laval, one of the three lanes of Highway 13-south will also be cut off between the Vachon bridge and Sainte-Rose boulevard from Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m. Northbound, there will be a nighttime closure of two out of three lanes between Sainte-Rose Boulevard and the Vachon Bridge all weekend. Note: a lane will also be cut off in this same perimeter in a northerly direction, Saturday and Sunday during the day, between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
But that’s not all. Highway 440 East will be blocked at night all weekend between exit 22 and the entrance to Boulevard Industriel. During the day, Saturday and Sunday, a lane will also be cut in the same sector.
Finally, in the Mirabel sector, between Friday evening and Monday morning, Autoroute 50, bearing the name of Guy Lafleur, will have to be completely closed eastbound between Autoroute 15 and Route 117, in other words Boulevard du Curé- The beautiful.
Québec recommends that users consult its Québec 511 platform before hitting the road, in order to better plan their trips according to the obstacles in progress. The Mobility Montreal site can also be visited for the same purpose.
