A woman lost her life on Sunday afternoon in a possible face-off in Saint-Félix-de-Dalquier, north of Amos, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Route 109, which goes from Amos to Matagami. The collision took place around 1:30 p.m. near the small municipality of Saint-Félix-de-Dalquier, about fifteen kilometers north of Amos.
The driver of one of the two vehicles, a woman in her 50s, was killed in the accident. A teenage passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle also received serious injuries.
Route 109 was closed completely throughout the afternoon until late evening Sunday.
A reconstructionist from the Sûreté du Québec was called to the scene to try to understand the causes of the accident.
