Macron’s comments on the RN and the Republican arc: “It’s not possible to say that!”

Robert Ménard reacted Monday morning after Emmanuel Macron’s comments in the newspaper Humanitywho declares that he does not “never considered that the RN or Reconquest were part of the republican arc”.

“How is the National Rally not in the Republican arc?”, asks Robert Ménard. “Who went to demonstrate against anti-Semitism, was it the National Rally or La France insoumise?”he continues, referring to the march organized after Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.

For the mayor of Béziers, wanting to exclude the RN from the Republican arc is the best way to raise the far right. “If the political class wants the National Rally to end at 45%, they should continue to treat people this way. It’s contemptuous of the voters”castigates the mayor of Béziers.

School uniform: “We’ll see if it’s useful or not”

Asked about experimenting with unique outfits at school in his town, Robert Ménard is cautious. “I don’t have the stupidity to think” that the unique outfit at school “will solve all the problems”he says. “We are going to do an experiment, we will see if it is useful or not (…) What risk is there? None” , he estimated. Several hundred schoolchildren from Béziers received on Thursday the outfits they will wear when they return from the winter holidays.

The former boss of Frontex at the RN: “a good political move”

While Fabrice Leggeri, former director of Frontex, joins the list of the National Rally for the European elections, the mayor of Béziers greets the “good political move” from Jordan Bardella’s party. Jordan Bardella’s list is leading the way in the opinion polls while the macronie is still looking for a candidate: “It’s impossible to say that it’s not an asset in their game and I don’t think it’s going to help reduce votes, on the contrary”estimated the mayor of Béziers. “You cannot imagine that a party which weighs so much in political life does not also weigh at the elite level”he concluded.
