Rivière-des-Prairies | Gunshots on Anna-Paquin Street, third misdemeanor in two weeks

(Montreal) For the third time in less than two weeks, acts of violence broke out on a small street in the northeast of Montreal, about 300 meters long.

Around 4:15 a.m. Friday, shots were fired at a residence on Anna-Paquin Street, near the intersection of Suzanne-Giroux Street, in the Rivière-des-Prairies district.

No one was injured, but shortly after the attack, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) had not yet been able to report any suspect arrests.

Police were able to speak with the occupants of the residence and a security perimeter was erected to help investigators to clarify this case.

A few days ago, a van was set on fire in the driveway of a residence on rue Anna-Paquin, also located near the intersection of rue Suzanne-Giroux. The SPVM confirmed Friday that it was not the same residence as the one that had just been targeted by shooting, even if they are located very close to each other.

And on March 11, around 1:20 a.m., shots were fired at a residential building on rue Anna-Paquin, this time near the intersection with rue Mariana-Jodoin.

These last two attacks had not yet been resolved on Friday; they caused no injuries.
