After the riots, the vandalized traders try to get back on their feet. In Oise, a burned-out pharmacy welcomes its customers in a prefabricated building.

In Montataire (Oise), three months after the riots, the curtain is still down for this pharmacy. On the night of June 28 to 29, this pharmacy in the city center was ransacked. The owner was able to maintain his business thanks to a small prefab. A relief for the residents of the neighborhood. “There are many who do not have a license, who are forced to get off, take the bus or go on foot. There are a few people who are disabled. It was very complicated for them that we were not no longer there”confides a pharmacist.

€700,000 damage

€700,000 in damage and a stock of medicines almost entirely destroyed or stolen. The owner had to put some of these employees on partial unemployment. Across France, many pharmacies were targeted by rioters last June. In Montargis (Loiret), a pharmacy was destroyed by fire. Several months after the events, several pharmacies have not reopened and are still waiting for their insurance to return.
