Thursday October 26, the government presented a battery of security measures against urban violence, like those of last June. The Prime Minister notably mentioned “supervision of young delinquents by the military”.
Thursday October 26, almost four months after the riots, the government presents its roadmap. Essentially security responses, particularly against young perpetrators of delinquency. “In certain cases, we can consider supervision of young delinquents by soldiers who will be able to transmit the values of discipline and surpassing oneself”presented the Prime Minister.
A condemnation of the parents
Among the other measures: a fund of 100 million euros for reconstruction, an increase in fines for non-compliance with the curfew and even strengthening the powers of municipal police. The government also proposes to increase the responsibility of parents by opening the possibility of sentencing them to community service when their children commit delinquency. Another battery of more social measures must be announced on Friday by the Prime Minister.
