The crisis caused by the riots that followed Nahel’s death sparked political clashes. The executive has decided to target La France Insoumise, as explained by journalist Guillaume Daret, present on the 8 Hours set, Wednesday July 5.

The riots which followed the death of Nahel in France caused a crisis which creates political clashes. Present on the 8 Hours set, Wednesday July 5, journalist Guillaume Daret reports that the executive has decided to target La France Insoumise (LFI). “It was not just anyone who launched this offensive on Tuesday, July 4. It was the Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, herself. ‘La France Insoumise does not position itself in the republican field’: this is neither more nor less what she said in front of the deputies of the majority, then in the hemicycle”says Guillaume Daret.

“It helps to split”

“This accusation of not being part of the republican field, it is traditionally made to the far right and to the National Rally (RN) in particular”continues the journalist. Why is the executive targeting LFI? “Already because it allows you to split. Emmanuel Macron slips into the clothes of the one who would be the guarantor of republican order, where LFI would embody disorder”explains Guillaume Daret. “It’s been almost a year that the majority also seeks to crack the Nupes, considering that there would be the infrequent, in their eyes, of LFI, then the others”he adds.
