The Franco-Palestinian activist, in an eligible position on the LFI list in the European elections, was the guest of “4V” on France 2 on Monday.

Rima Hassan, who appears in 7th place on the LFI list for the European elections and therefore in an eligible position, returned, Monday April 29, to the blocking of Sciences Po Paris the previous Friday. Guest of “4V” on France 2, the Franco-Palestinian activist said she accepted the term “uprising” that she had called on X (formerly Twitter). “I am referring to the definition of Larousse. ‘It is a collective and massive movement’“, she quoted. “I invite students to mobilize”she added, specifying that she would also be present with ENS students.

Asked about what she describes as ongoing genocide in Gaza, Rima Hassan maintains her position. The International Court of Justice has not yet legally qualified the facts on the merits, but has denounced “a genocidal risk” And “asked Israel to produce precautionary measures which Israel did not produce”she underlines, also citing a report by the United Nations special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. “We all collectively have a role in preventing this genocide, and prevention requires the denunciation of all genocidal acts”she stressed.

Rima Hassan was summoned by the candidate’s police for “apology of terrorism”. “This surely refers to tweets that I may have had on social networks. We will respond to this summons with my lawyer and we will know a little more tomorrow”she said.
