Everything is going well between Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Usually not very talkative, the rapper who took the floor to confide in his couple on the occasion of his cover of the summer issue of Dazed and Confused. And obviously, the new dad sees life in pink!
The leader of Asap Mob first spoke to the fashion magazine about his agreement with the mother of his son, and in particular their clothing association. “I just think it’s natural. We look good together. You know, it’s a lot of work to be sorted when it’s time to leave the house, he explained. Sometimes we match with a t-shirt, or we just wear the same clothes. If I buy a t-shirt she likes, I expect her to steal it…and then I have to steal it back.“As a fashion icon, they of course have a reputation to uphold!
The rapper also confided in a strong moment he experienced with his famous companion, that of returning to the land of his ancestors, in Barbados (where Rihanna is also from), where he discovered his family roots. “It was amazing honestly, I had family that only came to New York once every five years, family that I only talked to on the phone my whole life. (…) I was brought up to know my heritage, but I lacked the experience. I only experienced it as an adult. It was one of the most unreal things I’ve faced in my life“. Finally, when asked about the education he was going to give his son, A$AP Rocky did not flinch and looks like a quiet dad. “I just want cool kids with cool parents (…) I don’t want my kids to lose their imaginations, even adults.“
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna met in 2013 on the occasion of a professional collaboration. The two stars had, at the time, played a couple in the clip of Fashion Killa. He’s their friend Virgil Abloh (who died of cancer last November) who was in charge of the production. A premonitory story but which took a long time to see the light of day. Indeed, A$AP and Riri remained good friends for quite a while before taking the plunge in 2020. Almost two years later, the lovebirds welcomed a little boy in mid-May.
