A school bus driver, Sébastien is a big car enthusiast who follows Antoine in particular on his social networks.
He chose to subscribe to Roll to the next of his own free will, explaining that he travels by bike every day, winter and summer, to go to work and thus drive the children to school. Supported by his wife who confirms that Sébastien’s situation is very difficult, the team of Roll to the next therefore chose to keep the surprise until the very end. In collaboration with her, we therefore organized a surprise meeting to show Sébastien his new car, without him expecting it.
The car we were going to give him was probably not going to please everyone, since it is a big traditional American sedan. A 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis which had the particularity of displaying only 55,000 km on the odometer. For the record, this car will have been the property of a single man, unfortunately deceased in 2013. Since that moment, the car has remained parked in the garage of the family home, until the estate chooses to sell the house. and by the same token, to get rid of the car. However, against all expectations, the car was going to be scrapped, the estate not knowing what to do with this “old” car.
Our friends at Kenny U-Pull therefore informed us of the existence of this car, and then donated it to us. In very good condition, the Mercury did of course have a few small scars. That said, although it was only rarely used, it was going to have to go through all the stages of reconditioning so that it could circulate again.
By far, this car will have been the favorite of the team, who literally fought to move it whenever needed. Even the folks at Kenny U-Pull’s could hardly shake it off, this survivor was in such good shape. However, it is Sébastien who will have the pleasure over the next few years to take his place behind the wheel and make it last over time.
