Franck Ribéry goes “very probably” put an end to his career according to Davide Lippi, one of his agents contacted by AFP. LFrench international striker (81 caps) would be evaluating the issue” with those around him.

Revealed to the world at the 2006 World Cup, the former Olympique de Marseille winger then shone with Bayern Munich, notably allowing the club to achieve a Cup-Championship-Champions League treble in 2013.

Hampered by repeated injuries, including recurrent knee pain, Ribéry has not played since August with the Salernitana, which he joined last year and with which his contract runs until June 2023. The Italian press evokes the possibility, for the Bavarian legend, to stay in Salerno, but in a new role close to the staff.

Contacted by AFP, Salernitana said it had no announcement to make “for the moment”. The historical agent of Ribéry, Alain Migliaccio, did not speak either.
