Germany wants to confirm. The host country will challenge Denmark in the round of 16 on Saturday, June 29 at 9 p.m., at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Impressive in the first two matches, Julian Nagelsmann’s men almost lost their first place in the group to Switzerland on the last day (1-1). Against Denmark, the Germans will be facing a weakened defense (Jonathan Tah suspended and Antonio Rüdiger uncertain). But they will be able to count on experienced players like Toni Kroos and young talents Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz to make the difference.

Opposite, Denmark came out of the groups without shining. With three draws, Christian Eriksen’s teammates did the bare minimum to reach the eighth. Faced with the Germans, we will undoubtedly have to do better and be more dangerous. During the last Euro, the Danes caused a sensation by reaching the semi-final, where they failed against the English. Germany was knocked out in the round of 16 by the same opponents.
