“rewilding” mountain bongos, a rare species of endangered antelope

Five mountain bongos have been released into the forested foothills of Mount Kenya, with the aim of gradually reintroducing them to their natural habitat.

The first antelopes have been released at Mawingu Mountain, a sanctuary on Mount Kenya as part of a major program to combat their certain extinction in the wild.

Seven photos of Tony Karumba illustrate this point according to an AFP report.
